Oh FFS!!!!!

Sigh, NOT a schoolteacher.
The teachers themselves aren’t authorized to carry weapons at all, per Israeli government guidelines going back decades. The exception to that rule are IDF educational instructors giving standard pre-draft classes on what graduates may expect on entering IDF service, and they’re required to hand over their ammunition to the school’s security chief on entering the place.

The only time you’ll see non-uniformed Israelis with weapons by groups of schoolchildren is when those Israelis are VOLUNTEER PARENTS (“Horeh Melaveh”, literally ‘accompanying parent’) accompanying the kids on annual excursions (“Tiulim shnatiim”).
While not all excursions require that the volunteers be armed, many excursions must have a predetermined number of volunteer guards - usually two for groups of up to 60 kids - be armed with a government-approved weapon, and all of them must coordinate with relevant officials and have prior IDF experience, men and women alike.
