It has been my experience that when someone gets jumped it is because they have already been targeted to be jumped… the reason why comes later. Being impaired helps. I could be wrong.

I think that your point is taken ,in that these punks were looking for someone to punch out. However Hitchens made himself the target, but he didn’t have it coming. Beside, I gree with the sentiment that he expressed.
