Doesn’t really matter. An American citizen is an American citizen.

And an American citizen whose actions get him killed is not something I’m gonna get worked up over. From all appearances, this fellow was an active participant in the events that lead to his death, not an innocent bystander. As stated upthread, he and his fellow corpses are Darwin Award material.
