Captain Negative here: this won’t hurt them. None of this shit hurts them. I think DF knows that. These idiots shut down the government twice over the last 20 years, and they got rewarded with a two term President and ongoing majorities in Congress.

Because the average rank-and-file voter has the memory of a housefly, and the ability to swallow any amount of horsecrap that is pushed as common sense (“Obama shouldn’t be allowed to nominate anyone! We should have an election for SCOTUS judges! It’s in the Constitution!”
