Worldwide. Although we’re starting to see extremism here, with a few of what may be honor killings.

The mosque vandalism is certainly violence. Protests against the center in NY, not so much. Koran burning, not violence, just something that’s gonna piss ‘em off.

It’s more than that. Burning scripture strikes a very, very deep chord. It’s an act of pure hostility against an entire religion. I understand that the Dove Outreach people are also hoping to burn the Talmud. That makes me almost physically sick.

This is pure, threatening, crazy bigotry here.

(And yes, I’ll go out on a limb and say that anyone who torches a Koran is a bigot.)
