Yes, they do. I gotta say how objectionable I’m finding this repeated argument however. (Not directed at you DD or even this senator, just in general.) I understand why the OMG-more-torture-for-rape-and-incest-victims is being made to up the horror factor because it does emphasize the point. My objection is that this is THE argument, the seeming heart of it, which makes me ask the question:

Why is it that women are only deserving of bodily autonomy and agency AFTER we’ve been used and abused by men?

Not sure I’m seeing an argument in those terms. As a generalization, a social or political response won’t occur until after an outrageous abuse of any sort is dramatically aired.
