Lack of diversity is a market problem, not a regulatory problem. You aren’t really supporting sodium regulation in order to artificially create more choices for yourself, are you? That wouldn’t be cool…

And yes, kids shouldn’t live on chicken soup every day all day. I’m sorry if that sounds flippant, but it was an odd question. Let me help. A better question would have been “do i have a problem serving my child 166% of the RDA on any day she wants soup”, because the soup is 100% and the other two meals would be 33% each, on average.

No, i don’t care if my child quite occasionally has 166% of the RDA of sodium if i’m balancing her other nutrition well. It’s not even remotely a problem.
