It might have been how I got to the original article. One thing that popped up was that she’d been doing these cons for a LONG TIME, back into the 1950s, and had done some so big that she made the newspapers.

Sociopathy has certain…advantages. Most people would have been held back by conscience, or the fear of being caught, but not her!
