Contempt hearing against Arpaio begins

So far testimony has shown Arpaio told his staff to disregard the court orders, failed to implement training he was ordered to conduct, continued to target minorities, and had his officers investigate the Judge and his family.

And before the hearing, he admitted to destroying evidence, because he thought if he did that and paid $100K of somebody else’s money to a charity of his choosing, the judge would let him slide.

This is a man who has become absolutely convinced he’d untouchable. But I think when he involved the judge’s family, he went one toke over the line.
