You’re right about how embarrassing this should be. I think that this country needs a divorce. When it gets to the point that the other side is willing to fuck themselves up if it also fucks you up then it’s time to re-examine the relationship.

Can we file papers for a trial separation? Maybe ask for a full four year election cycle away from the Republican party as a trial to see how well things would go without their current style of governance.

I bet some Republicans themselves would be wary of how that would look to America.
