What a stupid waste of time and money. I don’t think Newsom is nearly as vulnerable to recall as Gray Davis was, but it is still irritating.

CA Republicans are incapable of winning any statewide office in any normal election. So cheap tricks like unjustified recalls are the only chance they have.

…but we can’t afford to be complacent. Especially in an off-year election.

Waste of time and money, yes — but it has to be done.
