It would have given cover to Georgia and Arizona to replace their electors, maybe Wisconsin as well, instead of 147 R’s voting to object it would have been 180, more than 7 R senators, and Osoff and Warnock maybe wouldn’t have been seated.

How? There was no mechanism for them to replace their electors. There may be now, with the laws they are putting in place, but at the time, they had no choice but to go along with the Secretary of State.
