Ayep. The GOP’s pretty much given up on selling their candidate as anything other than “Not Obama,” which wasn’t exactly a winning strategy in any of the above examples. When a majority of Americans look at the incumbent you’re running against as the kinda guy they’d like to have a beer with, and your entire strategy is summed up in “He’s bad, very bad!,” you’re SOL.
