I try not to get involved in matters relating to abortion these days, but I oppose this idea on the grounds of practicality: Imposing this sort of record-keeping requirement would require additional staff for doctors and hospitals but also for local governments.

That’s right Wesley Wingnut: If “Dignified Final Disposition” passes, it will increase the size and cost of government. Don’t think it won’t, because people are not going to wait a month to get this kind of document generated, especially not when not getting it could trigger a criminal investigation; Local governments will have to hire more staff and local taxpayers will have to pay for them.. And an increase in investigations will require more police officers, just as the record keeping will require more government bureaucrats.

So if you want to shrink the government, this is not the kind of law to pass.
