I think that ship has sailed by this point. Sanders has given the DNC plenty of reason to want him gone from the Senate come 2018. They allowed him to run when they could have denied him the opportunity and he’s done nothing since but repeatedly shit on the rug while railing against them for shit being on the rug. If there’s anything positive that might come out of all this, it’s that he’s reinforcing in a lot of people’s minds the conclusion that ignoring the dudebro wing of the party was the right choice.
