I still have severe doubts that it’s as simple as “asked a staffer.” Considering the shit that other Republicans are being allowed to slide on, querying a staffer about possibly being a surrogate seems way too tame to be “I must suddenly spend more time with my family” worthy.
See my note at #14. We’re used to surrogate mothers being impregnated via in vitro fertilization. Franks is a hardcore pro-lifer, and they absolutely despise IVF.
