Gov. Walker and Lt. Gov Mallott (I) are in a tight 3-way race for re-election. Former Senator Mark Begich jumped in the race as a Democrat in the primaries.
With the 3 way split vote, the Republican has a good chance of wining. The polls show Walker, in a head to head race with the Republican, wins handily. So far, Begich has refused to withdraw. These 3 way races are the doom for Alaska (see Rep. Don Young).
