Tort reform would yield tens of billions in savings. Yet you cannot find it in the Democratic bills. And Obama breathed not a word about it in the full hour of his health-care news conference. Why? No mystery. The Democrats are parasitically dependent on huge donations from trial lawyers.

Let’s be honest here for a moment. The republicans had both houses for how long? They could have passed some tort reform, but they didn’t. Why?

Because the special interests aren’t stupid, that’s why. Republicans are just as beholden to special interests as the democrats, and the losers are Americans and their doctors.
