I hate how the U.S. has this asinine system where we constantly have to fight to keep the government open.

Other countries have figured out how to avoid this, why can’t we?

This shutdown stuff didn’t happen in the past. It started to become popular when we started to see the big fights over taxation at the end of Reagan into Bush. Then of course they became a “tool” during Clinton.

And here we are.

I blame trickle down thinking for starting it.
