Being in the closet or out of it is a serious anachronism to apply to Turing. Back then hiding one’s orientation (if not straight) was usually necessary for survival.

Try living in a red State that has no protections for Trans people and has passed laws meant to erase us. Before Biden’s EO, Any employer could refuse to hire me or on a whim, fire me for being Trans. I could have also been denied housing. All with no legal recourse.
