I actually listened to Palin’s book through Audible. They had a 15% sale on any book and since the library waiting list was so long I went ahead and got it. Some people really hate her voice but I happen to think it’s pleasing to the ear. I grew up in the midwest and the down home stuff is a welcome sound for me. Plus her voice is just nice to hear, and not nasal or whatever the claim against it happens to be.

I actually find her voice rage-inducing. I physically cannot stand it, it makes me cringe and turn off whatever device is broadcasting it. I hate the squeaky mannerisms, I hate the weird circular nonsense she says. (see her resignation speech) I seriously would rather listen to a jackhammer.

(less anyone claim I’m partisan about this, Ed Schultz drives me up the wall as well)

My favorite TV personality/pundit voice is Rachel Maddow.
