Wake me when the Democrats start kowtowing to these people, speaking at their events, forming legislative caucuses around their ideology, showing up at their debates, etc. The Tea Party was noteworthy because while they pretended to be a grassroots movement in reality they were a GOP rebranding effort that the Republicans wholeheartedly embraced.

I don’t think there’s much chance of that, the Dems are mostly smarter that to get involved with Lennist-Marxist groups. Hopefully these protests will pass soon but they’re getting a lot of support from left wing blogs and MSNBC. The Dem base really wants to embrace this as a movement and if it persists it will cost Obama votes. Both from his base but it’s going to scare away moderates.
