Seems to be a pretty common law prof disease. They’ve spent their lives analyzing the logic and foundations of the law in all its supposed glory, with decisions as carefully considered and weighed intellectual exercises. Seeing the judiciary turn into a mudpit of unthinking hacks makes their work useless.
