Sorry, I 100% disagree with her. If you want people to understand what you’re talking about, spell it out. I know what HSBU is but not AAPI. If you want people on board (and I am on board) don’t make them go look stuff up, because most will not. If you’re trying to disseminate information, disseminate helpful information.

This applies to anyone anywhere for any reason, not just this tweet. Aravosis is a smart guy, a connected guy. If he doesn’t know what it is, that should concern anyone trying to get a message across.

My husband always complains that Rachel Maddow says the same thing over and over and over again on a single point. This is why. People need to have information given to them, sometimes spoon-fed. Acronyms need to be spoon-fed because there are too many and many are not widely known.
