Political analysts believe another hot-button issue is a bill to ban abortions in Louisiana that could also charge doctors who perform the procedure.

“We want to exercise our 10th amendment option of affirming that Louisiana has the right to determine this and not the federal government,” said Rep. John LaBruzzo (R-Metairie).

Governor Jindal said he’s pro-life, but believes the bill’s language is flawed. “We always support measures that protect innocent human life. I think that’s very important to do. This particular bill has some flaws the way it was written. The author has said that. I know he’s working with others to try to correct those flaws so we’ll certainly take a look at it once he’s amended the bill,” said Jindal.

LaBruzzo told FOX 8 right now the bill calls for women to be charged with feticide, but he said that’s not his intention and that he will fix the bill.
