The other problem I have with private education is that it does not have a system in place to help students with learning disabilities. The public school system has the IEP which I have to say really did help me out in my middle and high school years out. Private schools just aren’t equipped to help children with learning disabilities. Now some of them do have smaller classes but I think the IEP helps more so because you special ed teachers who are good at dealing with children with learning disabilities. I still remember my struggle with seventh grade math. The regular math teacher wasn’t really a bad guy but I don’t think he could help kids like myself that had learning disabilities. The other teacher in the class though was and she helped me pass the class. That class was the closest I ever got to having to go to summer school.
