Not only do we have the most powerful military in the world, if you base it on the total weaponry that a country can bring to bear at any moment, the United States is more powerful that the next six countries COMBINED. The only place that other countries outpace the US is in the number of infantry troops they have on active duty. Every other metric - whether it be airpower, naval strength or total military budget, the numbers aren’t even close.
