But why wouldn’t it “work”? A large percentage of GOP Representatives are confirmed wingnuts from “safe” seats, where the only punishment for doing nothing in Congress/wasting time posturing or witchhunting is a primary challenge from some nutbar even further to their right. Who might have a better-than even chance of winning, anyway: especially in those districts where Democrats are typically cast as the Party Of Satan, and chances of electing “moderates” (of any Party) are slim-to-none.
