They’re worried about being called RINOs or worse if they vote to impeach/remove.
They’re worried their GOP constituents will murder them or their families if they vote to impeach or remove.
They’re worried that they can’t do the right thing for the nation because the very radicalized GOP base will attack them for doing the right thing.

That’s how fucked up the GOP is. They’ve radicalized their way into a fascist party with decades of misinformation and these same politicians lying to them nonstop for years, including from Trump on down about a stolen election.

The election was not stolen. Trump lost in a landslide.

What Trump was doing was trying to steal the election, overthrow the government and remain in power indefinitely. That was the outcome sought last Wednesday and it was sheer dumb luck that the coup failed.
