The question is, however, this: if the incumbent’s campaign is aware of illegality, at which there have been ever so many hints, why not act on it? Answer: Romney’s obeyed the law, and has prospered by way of honest dealing.

I don’t think the Obama Campaign knows what’s in Romney’s tax returns. They just know that Romney is afraid to show what’s in his returns and the reasons are endless as to why he doesn’t. I don’t think it’s anything illegal, but whatever it is Romney thinks it would hurt him badly. Sou you take the “what’s Romney hiding…….?” and run with it. The fact that Romney’s own father started the tradition of disclosing several years of returns makes it another double whammy.
