Can I just say this though? I never thought too highly of Wikileaks. I took a couple classes on International Relations as an undergrad and my mom is a retired DOD official. I feel I always understood better than most people my age and on the left why countries need to be able to have secrets. Even before Assenge was revealed to be a bit of a creep, I just could never see him as a folk hero who was doing what he was doing for the public good.

Revealing state secrets is something to be done most carefully and only to the extent necessary to prevent violations of the law.

A lot of Wikileaks guys seemed to do it out of gleeful maliciousness and released information that was simply embarrassing, and led to lives being endangered unnecessarily.
