Sometimes reporters just don’t know what things are called. You see it sometimes in reporting that involves guns—they’re trying, but they just don’t know what they’re looking at.

They’re describing a 4ft x 4ft sheet, (a half-sheet) rather than a 4in x 4in lumber.
