There was a theory that Zimmerman got scratched up by bare tree branches in whatever scuffle there might have been. The marks on his head were higher up than they might have been if Martin had been bashing his head by grabbing him by the ears for example. Also, none of Zimmerman’s DNA was recovered off Martin’s body, you’d think if the guy was beating the crap out of someone there’d have been blood or skin or something all over him, but nothing was found.

This whole thing is so fucked up on so many levels it’s insane. I just really feel for the kid’s family, I can’t imagine how you even start to rise above shit this deep.
