A friend of mine from grad school works for the Los Angeles Times and went out to Murrieta for these protests. She posted some photos to her FB page.

The one constant refrain from her was that she had to keep fighting to control her anger at the protesters so that she could appear objective and get close enough to take photos. She wanted to punch some of them in the face, especially the way they were aiming their hate at kids. She was outraged at the whole display. Even people on her list who called themselves conservatives were ashamed of the display.

The RWNJs are playing with fire here. I don’t think they realize just how toxic the rabble in Murrieta are for people. It’s reminding a lot of people of the attacks that blacks faced during the Civil Rights era. People are stunned that this level of hate still exists.
