So there’s a new poll out in California. Primary numbers aren’t entirely surprising: Clinton leads Sanders 45-37. Trump leads Cruz and Kaisch 37-30-12 (meaning 20% of Republican voters are either going to make a protest vote or don’t know who they’re voting for). For those wondering, the California Democratic Party allows Independents to vote in the primary while the California GOP does not.

More interesting is that in the general election match ups Clinton beats Trump 59-28. Right at the crazification factor. Also fun: only 47% of California Republicans would enthusiastically vote for Trump in the general - 27% would vote for him reluctantly (talk about the crazification factor!) and 27% would not vote for him.

The California GOP has lost a lot of clout over the last 20 years or so (ever since Prop 187), so it’s become as wingnutty as the rest of the country, but it is still interesting that almost a third of them won’t vote for Trump in the general.

There’s that magic number again. Crazy.
