The canard I’ve seen over my lifetime and in reading history is that when a term like that gets applied, the science is settled, to mix a metaphor.

Well I have seen “Islamic Scholars” giving arguments about how many times a man should beat his wife. I’m pretty sure you are right though, it’s settled. Course looks like he’s being something less than brilliant. The only one President at a time canard will not fly for much longer. Wonder if he will want a raise to weigh in on the Palestinians.
