On the small screen, where one can study the image and notice all those little things missed on the first viewing in a crowded and noisy theater… what comes across is an attempt to pack quite a bit into the movie.

Of course he died before completing it… which is a bummer.

I do appreciate Kubrick’s appreciation for the human capacity for depravity.
