What the hell? Glenn Greenwald and Matt Yglesias are both agreeing with me about this bill being a payoff to the Health care industry so I go to read Greenwald and his current post is:

it’s just that an improvement in care and an improvement to the system, and a payoff to the health care industry, they’re not mutually exclusive. Any more than a defense contractor getting rich off being well connected and the defense of our nation aren’t mutually exclusive.

Does anyone here consider new weapon technology a payoff to defense contractors? Or do they just accept that this is how it’s done?
