I suspect Ryan made his list of demands, knowing there was no way in hell the Suicide Caucus would agree to them, thus giving him an excuse for not taking the job.

Meanwhile, the GOP Causus leadership are looking at their options, and wondering how much worse it could be to cut a deal with Nancy Pelosi….
