I’d like to think so. I quit for 6 months last year, but started back up BECAUSE I AM STUPID! after they jacked the taxes on the smokes. Walter was very supportive, but I let myself and him down.

If I do it, ain’t gonna talk about it.

Might be a good idea. People intend to be helpful, but the constant asking if you’re still quitting can sometimes be annoying.

Also, some people ask hoping to hear that you’ve backslid. I don’t think they mean to be mean, but I remember one friend who is a smoker who would eagerly ask me if I was ‘still not smoking’, and was always kinda disappointed when the answer was, “yep, i quit”.
I don’t think anyone here is like that, but sometimes it’s helpful for personal goals to stay that— personal.
