I think there must be more that isn’t reported in the article. Even in cases involving threats against the President, the Secret Service is required to investigate, but arrests are rare. It’s usually sufficient to point out to the offender the nature of their actions, and to make them aware that they’ve been identified. They go on a watch list, and that’s normally the end of the story. If they arrested even a quarter of those making discernible threats against the President, there would have been tens of thousands of people jailed just in the last ten years or so.

That this guy was actually charged and placed under house arrest bespeaks something more serious than the ordinary Web rant.

We need to read the actual poem, I would think.
