There is a case of a woman’s body kept on life support in this way , but it wasn’t for nearly that long.

(Since the woman is “absolutely, thoroughly, indisputably dead,” I’m not troubled about her rights — there’s no way in the world she can be inconvenienced by this. But I agree that the family should decide what happens here.)

That case was in Hungary, and unlike the current case in Texas the family supported keeping the woman’s body going till her child could survive outside the womb.
