“An opinion equating OUR President (if you consider yourself an American, he is every American citizen’s President) to a brutal, repressive dictator who commits heinous crimes against his own citizens is beyond the pale with regard to a serious, civilized discussion. It’s as irresponsible as Rep. Michele Bachmann’s recent calls for violent revolution against the rightfully elected U.S. government—it is treasonous. In light of those comments by a member of Congress, I understand now why there are so many who wish to retain the 2nd Amendment. These individuals, collectively, wish to retain the means to violently overthrow the U.S. government when they decide that it no longer conforms to their political ideology.”
