One thing the Ken Burns/Lynn Novick Vietnam film demonstrated is just how much photography and film exists of all aspects of the war and the protests against it.
If something like uniforms in the trash at LAX had happened, there *would* have been photos and Burns absolutely would have had it in his film. Period.
