My mom’s neighbors are conservative Baptist. The woman obeys the man. But to be honest, she wears the pants.

I think it might be one of these labels that is very loose?— I have a friend who has family that would call themselves ‘extremely conservative Baptist’, but they don’t seem to be extreme (even among Baptists).

I had this idea that conservative Baptists have at least two branches; basically what I’m saying is that not all conservative Baptists and even ‘extremely conservative Baptists’ are wingnuts.

They endorse so-con ideas but don’t want to impose them on others, or exploit political means.
(Such people do exist).
