I agree that the GOP is doing its best to make the US ungovernable. E.g., the debt ceiling debacle.

There is also no apparent path by which the GOP could become more sane. In the past, parties have gotten the message when they lose a presidential race by a 45+ state blowout. That can’t happen these days. Any GOP candidate (or any Dem candidate) starts with well over 100 electoral votes that simply have no chance of going to the other party.

Most of them are against this government, but a driving minority is anti-governance. Triggered by some idiot who said: “Government isn’t the solution, government is the problem”.
