Hunting rifle rounds are already supersonic. The prey gets no warning. Silencers are just macho bullshit. They serve no actual purpose.

Oh, unless the shooter can’t shoot straight. And even then, the round will snap passing the prey when it misses. It’s a testosterone induced sales pitch. Stupid gun nuts.

Suppressors reduce the risk of hearing damage to the firer by reducing the noise level of the gunfire. They also keep the shots from spooking other nearby animals.
