It’s rather interesting to me the timing of this whole Akin mess and the huge split it’s caused in the GOP. Just DAYS before the big convention, where the party pretty much had to shelve their disagreements and stand united behind Romney to have any chance in November.

We all knew it was coming, I just didn’t expect it to blow up like this before the election.
