She probably has to. If you were a legit speechwriter, she’d be the last person you’d want to write for knowing she would butcher it.

As far as her health. She may be caught in that cycle of up and down with cocaine (or even worse, crystal meth) and alcohol. Snort a bit to get the day rolling. Snort some more to maintain, and then find yourself drinking to balance things and maybe even to feel better.
