Interesting. I never thought of that before but not that I think of it I rarely (if ever) see black guys out fishing or black families camping. I guess since blacks mostly moved to the cities and urban areas they lost touch with camping and hunting. Since the 50’s (probably long before) white culture has been in the suburbs with programs like boyscouts. Not sure if Boy Scouts is a big hit in the inner cities.
Well, everybody here fishes.
But I worked for a number of years for the state Dept of Agriculture, and we had a very difficult time finding black job applicants with a degree in any agriculture-related field. Very difficult.
